Know Before You Go to the Holiday Tree Lighting

The City of Boca Raton kicks-off its holiday event season with

a festive evening of live music performances, snow flurries, food and drinks, craft stations, and a magnificent tree lighting at the Mizner Park Amphitheater. Here are some smart tips to #KnowBeforeYouGo!

What to Expect?

The first festive event of the season, the Holiday Tree Lighting will be an amazing evening the whole family can enjoy.


Date: Saturday, November 23, 2024


Time: 6:00pm - 10:00pm


Location: Mizner Park Amphitheater, 590 Plaza Real


Schedule of Events:

6:00pm: Holiday Celebration

The Holiday Tree Lighting celebration begins!

  • LIVE music performances
  • Snow flurries 
  • Craft station
  • Selfie photo opportunities with Santa (6-9pm)
  • Holiday Market
  • Food & drinks for purchase


7:15pm: Ceremonial Tree Lighting

The highlight of the evening will be the lighting of the City’s tree led by Deputy Mayor Yvette Drucker, which will illuminate simultaneously with Mizner Park’s Lighting Display throughout the park.



7:30pm: Holiday Music Performances

Enjoy the music mix of holiday classics, Top 40 hits, and more.


Plus, Mizner Park will transform into a holiday wonderland, with 50,000 LED lights adorning 75 palm trees throughout the park. Festive 2D light displays make great photo opps in the heart of Downtown Boca.


Weather: The event continues rain or shine.


Restrooms: Restrooms are available at Mizner Park Amphitheater.

Parking

Free and ample parking available at:

  • City Hall: 201 W. Palmetto Park Road
  • Building Administration: 200 NW 2nd Avenue
  • Downtown Public Library: 400 NW 2nd Avenue
  • City Parking Lot: 300 NW 2nd Avenue
  • Limited parking available at Mizner Park garages

Metered parking:

  • On-street metered parking available throughout downtown


Bicyclists: Bike racks are available in front of City Hall and in Mizner Park. Be sure to wear reflective clothing and add reflective material to your bike for safety.


Watch the Tracks: For those walking to and from the event, look and listen before crossing any train tracks.


Charge While You Attend: Electric car charging stations available at City Hall and the Downtown Library.


Plan Ahead: No matter how you are getting to the event, leave early and plan ahead in order to arrive to safely and on time.

Safety Tips from Police & Fire Rescue Services

Stay Alert: It takes four seconds or less for someone to break into your vehicle: Be sure to lock your car and take all personal items with you. Never leave your keys in your vehicle.
