A YEAR IN REVIEW
AFTER 40 YEARS IN TRAVEL MY QUEST TO CREATE MEMORABLE JOURNEYS CONTINUES TO GROW.
How it all began...
2017 was an exciting year for our travellers, who could be found  island hopping in Greece, camel riding in the  Moroccan deserts , visiting  Koala Bears in the Australian Blue Mountains, hiking to  Machu Picchu , cruising the  Galapagos Islands on a small yacht, and paddling down the  Amazon River. One intrepid couple even  camped out in the jungle for a night... do they have a story to tell!

It's been a busy year for our African Safari goers too. Wildlife sightings included the Big Five in Botswana and South Africa, the great Wildebeest migration in Tanzania and Kenya, not to mention trekking to the endangered Gorillas in the Virunga Mountains of Rwanda. Our favourite Twitchers spent a few days with a private guide, bird watching to their heart's content in remote areas of East Africa.

LOOKING BACK, AND MOVING FORWARD
On a personal note, my daughter and I were fortunate to spend 3 weeks discovering the backroads of Italy on a Vespa, by Segway and on foot.
I also explored India ( Blog), returned to my beloved South Africa and visited Morocco for a luxury travel conference.
 
2018 is the year I go to  Egypt - at last. I'll be hitting all the high points - the Pyramids of Giza, the Valley of the Kings and, of course the Temple of Abu Simbel. But it's not all history and sightseeing... I will also be taking to the skies in a hot air balloon and sailing up the Nile on a fabulous 5* deluxe River Cruise ship. Can't wait!
 
Spring will find me on the Nile again, but this time near the source of this great river in Uganda. I plan to full-fill another #bucketlist dream - getting up close and personal with Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees!  My New Year's resolution is to be fit enough to actually enjoy hiking up those mountains!
