HF Mali vocational school training program

After 3 months of accelerated training, the Humanity First Mali Vocational Training Center has concluded a session that brought together 88 trainees.

During this primarily hands-on training, participants developed their cutting and sewing skills specifically through cutting and making a shirt, basic pattern making for women's garments, and practical cutting, assembly, and sewing techniques.

The closing ceremony was marked by the official presentation of certificates to the graduates.

Through this initiative, Humanity First is reaffirming its commitment to empower young people through skills training and apprenticeships in promising trades.

Knowledge for Life and The Education Project

Did you know? HF USA supports 29 schools in Burkina Faso, Guatemala, Malaysia, Liberia, Tanzania, and Mali through the Knowledge for Life program.

This year is the grand opening of our newest high school in Dideni, Mali! 40 students have been assigned by the local government with more to enroll from surrounding areas. Once the school has been refreshed and final touches are complete, classes will begin in early October.

TEP has begun its 7th full school year of supporting student academic growth, supported by the HFUSA donor community.

This past July, The Education Project completed a month long tutoring program at the Lagrange Library in Toledo, Ohio. Twice a week, 5 dedicated tutors provided support in Math and ELA to 18 local students. This program was supported by the City of Toledo.

This spring, TEP will expand its program and support schools in Illinois, Texas, Ohio, and internationally, in Jamaica.

Humanity First Student Organizations

& HF Kids 4 Humanity Fundraiser

HFSO's are ambitious and have big plans. This year, in partnership with HF's Kids 4 Humanity, they are fundraising for HF's Masroor School in Alotenango, Guatemala, to make sure each of its 300 students has all the school supplies they need for a successful academic year.

Alotenango is a 70% indigenous community with a low literacy rate and an even lower digital literacy rate. Most families here earn their living through agricultural work such as the coffee bean industry. Masroor School is raising the literacy rates and giving children in Alotenango a chance at a brighter future.

Help HFSOs & K4H raise $10,000 to meet this goal. Join an existing fundraisers or create your own!
