PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Chamber Members,

We are less than two weeks into January and already Kodiak is abuzz with change. For many, change can be stressful. After all, uncertainty often looms. As daunting or uncomfortable as change may seem, it can also be a catalyst for growth and new opportunities. Embracing change allows us to break free from routine, adapt to new circumstances, and discover our true potential. It fosters resilience, encourages innovation, and can lead to unforeseen paths that enrich our lives. By welcoming change, we can transform challenges into steppingstones and create a future filled with possibilities.

During seasons of change, I encourage you to focus on what good can come from the change that is before you and what lessons you can learn when things get hard. There are silver linings in so many situations that we can’t always easily see.

As we catapult into 2025, I challenge you to live by this mantra: See the good.

All the best,

Sara Fraser

President

Kodiak Chamber of Commerce

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S MESSAGE

Dear Chamber Members,

I’d like to start with a warm welcome to our newest Chamber Members: Friends By The Ocean, Whitespace 3D, Wild Kodiak Seafoods, Emerald Isle Aesthetics, and Water’s Edge Marine. Thank you for joining the Chamber and your support of all that we do.

I hope that your year is off to a positive start. Whether it's on the personal front or at work, January is one of my favorite months of the year because it is a time for new beginnings, for focusing on how we can be better versions of ourselves, cleaning out the old, moving forward with new projects and in big or small ways starting over and making improvements but it is also means that with each day we get a little more daylight back and that is truly exciting.

We are halfway through the month and the Chamber team is focused intently on the Chamber’s upcoming events for the first half of the year. Ericka is working on putting together our 2025 Relocation Guide, please reach out to her if would still like to be a part of this publication. Last night we held a Business After Hours at A Balanced Approach and we will host a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, January 31st at Sound Mental Health!
