A Message from our Board of Directors President,

Jeff Sanford

Kodiak Chamber Members,

The best way to spread the word about your business is by making connections in Kodiak. Whether you’re new to

the island or a seasoned veteran company that has been around for decades, your reputation grows as you engage with the community.

The Kodiak Chamber of Commerce is an excellent way to get involved with the community. Our chamber serves as

an influential voice and power that stands for the well-being of the local business environment. Your membership will gain

you access to opportunities to make connections, meet potential new clients, and gain exposure for your business or brand.

Explore with us the level of membership that you have access to. Then consider the benefits that come with each one. Your level of membership should be based on the results you want to see.

From directory listings to spotlight features, exposure, and sponsored events, you can gain access to valuable promotional opportunities at a fraction of the cost it would take to do them yourself.

Finally, Kodiak has an established and proven Chamber of Commerce (Since 1964). It has numerous connections within the state and in our community. You will find that your ability to make a local impact grows exponentially the more you and your business are involved.

We look forward to continuing to serve you and strengthening your business.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jeff Sanford

Board of Director President

You’re Invited!

We’re excited to introduce the Loyal to Local eGift Card! It is a gift card that can be used wherever you might use a gift card, but instead of national brands, it works in our local shops and restaurants in the area. Now, customers can send anniversary, graduation, and birthday gifts to friends and family through a simple text or email. Businesses can even send eCards in bulk as employee rewards.

The best part is – the dollars stay local to benefit our shops, restaurants, and the Kodiak Community.

Advertise in the 2023 Relocation Guide!

Each year the Kodiak Chamber of Commerce produces a guide filled with information on our community.

The Relocation Guide includes business and organization listings, facts and articles about Kodiak, and beautiful local photography!

The guide will continue to be distributed throughout the year at Chamber events, on the Coast Guard Base, Real Estate offices, at the Visitors Center, and to major employers throughout the Kodiak region and to anyone requesting information on Kodiak through the Chamber office.

We are expecting an even wider distribution than ever before, as the guide will be available electronically for the fourth year. This past year's edition, we had over 25,000 views online! Every listing has a clickable link to your website and each ad links as well.

A variety of ad sizes and additional business narratives are available to fit your needs and budget. Space is limited, and ads are placed on a first come first serve basis, so click below for more information and to sign-up!

The reservation deadline is January 20, 2023.

As a reminder, all of our PIKE sponsors receive a free ad and narrative in the Relocation Guide. If you are interested in becoming a PIKE Sponsor, reach out to Jena Lowmaster.

Museums Alaska is a statewide organization that advocates for and supports museums across Alaska. The Excellence in the Field award acknowledged many of the changes that KHM has undergone in the last several years, including the renovation and name change, continued efforts to adopt digital and virtual systems to increase accessibility, creating a social justice exhibit model to develop community-oriented exhibits, and addressing pay equity with a 23% increase in staff wages.

“The Kodiak History Museum is leading the field in many areas and has been for several years now, especially in community engagement, access, and pay equity,” said Dixie Clough, director of Museums Alaska. “All of the initiatives they have implemented over the past few years show their innovative spirit in creating new solutions to difficult challenges. It’s been fun to see all the amazing news coming out of Kodiak, and we are excited to see what they do next!”
