ROAR: Reminders
WELCOME BACK!
And just like that, the school year is off and running. In less than a week, we met new students and teachers, were oriented to classrooms and campus, snapped milestone pictures denoting the start of a new year, participated in community builders and ice breakers, we retreated to the mountains, and some of us even went camping and climbed a 14,000-foot mountain. The expectations for the school year have been set - welcome to 2019-2020!

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
CSS offers daily hot lunches, a salad bar, drink stations, a snack shack, and box lunch orders for after-school activities and away games.

Over the years, CSS has worked with multiple food vendors to manage rising food costs. Each year, CSS closely monitors the viability of a hot lunch program against operational costs, usage and the desire to offer varied and healthy entrees, as well as dietary choices. We work carefully to reduce food waste, increase the number of regular lunch buyers, and offer the value-added service of the snack shack. Please  fund your student's lunch account with the Front Desk or the Business Office prior to your student buying lunch or snacks.

Meals
One-Pass-Through Lunch including beverages
  • Children's School (K-5th): $5.70
  • Middle School (6th-8th): $6.90
  • Upper School (9th-12th): $6.90
  • Beverage only: $1.95 to $2.50

AUGUST 28 DEADLINE TO ORDER 2019 FUN RUN SPIRIT SHIRT FAST APPROACHING!
Brand new performance Sport-Tek design! Order shirts by Wednesday, August 28.

Just a month into the school year, The Parents Association will host the totally awesome  Fun Run and  Carnival, a community-building event fueled by school spirit and parent volunteers.

You are encouraged to participate in the  Fun  Run on September 20, 2019, whether  running or walking, pushing a stroller, or encouraging the runners from the sidelines.  Fun  Run  registration is only $12.00 and includes a  Fun  Run performance Sport-Tek shirt to wear for Carnival and on Spirit Days (Fridays) throughout the year. Then families head to the Quad for food, games, and laughs. A midway experience greets Carnival goers for an afternoon of togetherness. This year, Alumni Reunion coincides with the event and all are invited to participate in this long-standing community-tradition filled with nostalgic memories.

The Fun Run is a wonderful way for community businesses to get involved, show school
spirit and participate in a healthy activity together. All funds raised from Carnival and Fun Run benefit the school in the form of future community-building events or classroom and club needs. We invite you to consider a business sponsorship and know that you are furthering the mission of connecting families and creating a dynamic and active community. Sponsorship levels are available from $300 - $1,000! This year's Fun Run & Carnival shirts will only feature business names as an advertising opportunity and will not feature individual or family names. Individual and family philanthropy or charitable giving is encouraged through the Annual Fund and year-end charitable giving.
