We invite all of our CSS parents for a beautiful evening under the stars with live music, delicious treats, and beverages on the Quad and Terrace!
The evening features jazz music by TRĒO in our historical setting. Enjoy charcuterie boards with various meats, cheeses, dips, olives, vegetables and breads, as well as a dessert bar, s'mores by the fire, and magical lights against the backdrop of great views of the mountains.
Complimentary admission with RSVP. $10 at the door.

OCTOBER 11 | SPOOKY GOLF & PUMPKIN FUN
For students in kindergarten through 5th grade to engage in enriching experiences while parents enjoy a night out.
Dress up in a silly or scary outfit for miniature golfing. Then we'll have fun at a mini-carnival at school. We'll paint mini pumpkins, play pumpkin toss, Frankenstein bowling, and a spider ring toss. Win prizes! A movie and popcorn will end the evening.

THE KINDNESS DIARIES TOUR COMING TO CSS
Monday, October 21, 2019 8:10 to 9:10 a.m. Louisa Performing Arts Center Open to the public
Global adventurer and philanthropist Leon Logothetis is bringing his message of kindness and the power of human connection to The Colorado Springs School on October 21.
Leon will be visiting campus as part of The Kindness Diaries Speaking Tour and delivering the presentation "I See You: The Power Of Human Connection" to students in 5th through 12th grade from 8:10 to 9:10 a.m. in the Louisa Performing Arts Center. The community is invited to join us for this event. Seating is first come, first served.

We are in the throws of our 6-week Annual Fund Challenge. A group of inspired donors has offered a $50,000 challenge gift if we secure 60 gifts at the Claremont Society level of $1,962 by October 17, 2019. With you, we can achieve so much more! All Claremont Society and Lifetime Society donors will be invited to a party on Wednesday, November 6 at Phantom Canyon to celebrate together.
Additionally, the class to achieve 100% parent participation will gain a $250 grant for their grade. Every gift or every size, counts. Head of School Aaron Schubach outlines the Annual Fund in his State of the School presentation.

Upper School students drawing Wednesday for Dance on Paper, a collaboration between the CSS art departments and the Ormao School of Dance. Members of the Ormao dance company pose as live models for the students to draw from life. It is a real-world opportunity to practice as aspiring artists must do to hone their craft, working from life and models to understand concepts like line, weight, movement and gesture. The students' drawings will be on display from October 21 through November 23, 2019 in the Louisa Performing Arts Center.

Kindergarten Teacher Jolly Cunha was one of 10 teachers in the Pikes Peak region to receive the Extra Yard for Teachers award last week from the College Football Playoff Foundation in conjunction with Air Force Athletics. She was selected from more than 600 nominations, will receive $1,000 for classroom supplies. Mya T.'s family nominated her; she's pictured with Mya. Congratulations, Mrs. Cunha!

STUDENTS GATHER INFO AT COLLEGE FAIR
More than 60 representatives from colleges and universities were on campus on Monday for our annual College Fair, which was open to all Upper School students. Reps answered students' questions about admission requirements and more. It's just one way CSS helps prepare students for the college process. We also provide a College Overview class, test prep workshops, and a dedicated College Counselor.
