MOES CHITIM (MONEY FOR WHEAT)

Jewish Collaborative Services (JCS) manages a fund called Moes Chitim (Money for Wheat) that supports community members who are having financial struggles and need help affording Passover food by providing them with Stop & Shop gift cards if they meet eligibility requirements. Click the link below for more information!

JCS also operates the Kosher Food Pantry at our North Main Street, Providence location. We welcome referrals to the pantry by directing community members to contact Krissy Jaycox (Pantry Coordinator) at 401-369-5052. She will assist new pantry customers with intake paperwork and schedule a time to come in. Confidential shopping hours for families who prefer to have privacy when utilizing the pantry can be arranged.

MEMORIAL PLAQUES

Honor the memory of your loved ones by dedicating a memorial plaque in the Main Sanctuary or the Fishbein Chapel, creating a lasting tribute in their name. As it says in the Book of Proverbs, "The soul of a person is the lamp of the Lord" (Proverbs 20:27), through these plaques, may their light continue to shine brightly within our sacred spaces.

THIS IS THE BEST TIME TO VISIT ISRAEL

SHOWCASE TRAVEL FAIR

Sunday, March 1, 2026 at 3:00 PM

There’s something about Israel that stays with you long after you leave. The people, the energy, the stories, the food, the music—and the deep sense of connection. If Israel has been on your mind lately, you’re not alone.

The Rhode Island Israel Collaborative (RIIC), together with the Jewish Alliance of Rhode Island, invites you to a special community gathering: the Travel to Israel Fair.

This event is designed for anyone who feels drawn to Israel—whether you’re planning your first visit, thinking about returning, or simply curious to learn more about the many meaningful ways to experience the country today.

You’ll have the opportunity to learn about diverse travel options to Israel, including cultural, educational, heritage, volunteer, family, and specialized programs. Representatives from participating organizations will share personal testimonials and real-world insights, helping you understand what these journeys are truly like.

Whether Israel feels like home, a long-awaited dream, or a place calling you back, this event offers a welcoming space to explore, connect, and be inspired.

All are welcome.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Emily Gaudreau, the Jewish Alliance’s Director of Community Advocacy and Engagement, has been regularly supporting Progreso Latino's weekly food pantry in Central Falls. We're looking for occasional volunteers to help with this effort.

We're hoping to organize volunteer groups approximately once a month on Wednesdays from 9am-1pm (you can leave a little early if needed).

Some light lifting may be needed, but can be avoided if you need a special accommodation. No Spanish is required, but helpful!

We need 8 volunteers for Wednesday, February 25. We'll meet at 9 AM at the pantry. To join us on 2/25, please reply directly to Stephanie Hague or Emily. If you can't make 2/25 but are interested in future Wednesdays, let us know so we can add you to our volunteer list. Feel free to share this with others who may be interested and available during weekday mornings.
