Shiur: Learning Through Fun
Shiur, our unique and interactive Jewish education program, guides chanichim through an exploration of Jewish tradition, history, Israel, and holidays through performance arts, hands-on games, and crafts. This summer, our younger chanichim focused on kindness, gratitude, and cooperation, and also explored the history, culture, and geography of Israel. Our older chanichim chose from a variety of Shiur bechirot (electives) allowing them to customize their shiur experience. They chose from established favorites and new additions to our bechira offerings, including the Jewish connection to nature and the principle of ba'al taschit (do not waste), fusing Jewish learning with building and engineering, and expressing our Jewish values through art. Our shiur experience has something for everyone.

Ramah Video

Campers in Ramah Video specialty camp got hands-on experience with all forms of video production including filming with DSLR cameras, exploring stop motion animation, working with green screens, learning creative methods for shooting digital still images, and more. We joined our Nevonim friends on a mitzvah hike up Hook Mountain to learn about documentary filmmaking. We had a great time getting to know each other in front of and behind the camera. Click here or on the image above to see highlights of our week.

In Our Community
Ramah Sports Academy   (RSA), Ramah's 10th overnight camp, opened this summer on the beautiful campus of Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT. It's been a wonderful inaugural summer for RSA, where campers choose to major in one of six signature sports (baseball, basketball, girls volleyball, soccer, swimming, and tennis). If your family is considering overnight camp for next summer, please contact Yoni Shear, Associate Director, at  [email protected]  or (855) 577-7678 for more information or to arrange for a tour. And if you register by September 1, you will lock in the 2018 tuition rate for summer 2019.
