ProFood World, a leading food & beverage manufacturing publication, has awarded Kraft Heinz a 2021 Manufacturing Innovation Award for their modernized equipment system of a new cheese formulation for the iconic blue box Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Spec Engineering, a Gray company, completed the entire process system upgrade in the Wausau facility, to include: dry ingredient bulk bag unloaders, a liquid cheese cook room, a drying and blending room, and a Clean-in-Place (CIP) sanitation system.

Safety Highlight: Scissor Lift / Boom Lift & Fall Protection Training

Safety and quality of life are a priority to both Spec Engineering and our parent company Gray Inc. Our team works hard to implement the Gray Safety 7 standards in everything we do to include continuing education. Gray corporate safety trainers recently led Spec Engineering through a scissor lift / boom lift & fall protection training for our shop, field, and certain engineering personnel. This involved: Classroom Training Sessions Hands-On Training With a 35-foot Scissor Lift and a 33-foot Articulating Boom Lift Hands-On Training with Fall Protection Harnesses and Self-Retracting Lifelines

Community Outreach - St. Mary of Providence "Candy Day"

This Valentine's Day, we participated in St. Mary of Providence "Candy Day", an event hosted by American Association of Candy Technologists (AACT). Although this year's event looked a little different, we were still able to send fresh popcorn to each resident. The smiles on their faces were just as big as they were last year! The mission of St. Mary of Providence is to help people with developmental disabilities meet life's challenges and reach their highest potential in spiritual, emotional, mental, and psychological growth, at the same time promoting their dignity as human beings.
