Kristen Soltis Anderson to Headline Wisconsin Women in Government Annual Gala May 15th
MADISON - Wisconsin Women in Government (WWIG), a statewide, bipartisan, non-profit organization of professional women in and around government service, is pleased to announce Kristen Soltis Anderson as the keynote speaker for our 32nd Annual Scholarship and Recognition Gala on May 15, 2019. Kristen Soltis Anderson is the author of The Selfie Vote: Where Millenials are Leading America. Anderson is also a political pollster, columnist at The Washington Examiner, the co-host of a weekly bipartisan podcast and co-founder of Echelon Insights, a research analytics firm. In 2014, she was a Resident Fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics where she began her research on millennial attitudes. More recently, she was named as one of Time Magazine's "30 under 30 Changing the World" and Ellle's "Most Compelling Women in Washington."
The gala will be held on May 15th in partnership with the Tommy G. Thompson Center and Wisconsin Historical Society, with exhibits commemorating the the 100th anniversary of Wisconsin's ratification of the 19th Amendment. The gala will be held at the Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center in Madison and raises scholarship funding for undergraduate and mid-career women pursuing careers in public service. The Gala will also feature the presentation of WWIG's Rising Star and Legacy awards, bestowed upon remarkable women in government who have made outstanding contributions to their field. Tickets may be purchased in advance at $75 for government employees, $100 for private sector employees and $600 for a table of 8.
