Tis the season to be jolly, make wreaths, decorate, bake wonderful holiday treats, gather with family and friends, drink hot cocoa, build snowmen, sit by the fire and do Kumihimo!! I wish all of the you and yours the happiest and healthiest of holiday seasons!
It's already snowing in our mountains and the ski resorts are open. We don't have to "dream about a white Christmas" because we already have it. Hallelujah!
 I am excited to share 3 New Kits this Month. The

Santa's elves.

Kumihimo Beaded Necklace with Black & White Dotted Focal
|
I love Black and White and I love bright colors so when I found these Black &  White Dotted beads I was in heaven.
I had the fun of creating the pendants. The beaded braid is simple with a variation on a "spot" pattern and has a clean look that doesn't take away from the focal pendant.
The Focal Pendant and bail come pre-assembled so all you have to do is braid the beaded "rope" and slide the handmade Focal Pendant into place. This necklace is finished with an adjustable closure so you can wear the necklace as short as 17" or as long as 26" or even longer. Another great gift kit. Quick!

Isn't this one beautiful? Not only does the Kumihimo Beaded Necklace with the  Caramel & Black Focal look awesome but it has a nice hand too. New Findings
|
These are the Pendant Bails that I am using in my new kits. They pair beautifully with 8-strand 8/0 beaded ropes as well as combos of 8/0 & 6/0 seed bead beaded ropes (not too many 6/0's or the rope will get too thick for the bail)! The 4mm acrylic end caps fit through the bail holes so you can switch out
different pendants!
The Spiral Pendant Carrier is lots of fun (see it in the photo to the right and also, in use, in the photo below on the left). Your braid fills the spiral and you can add any pendant that you like and you can switch the spiral pendant carrier from one braided necklace to another.

Fun & Free! Christmas 16-Strand Kumihimo Patterns
|
Here are a few patterns that I came across and thought you might have fun trying! You will use the Kongoh braid structure (also referred to as the "round" braid"). "Left bottom up, right top down, rotate to next pair, left bottom up, right top down, rotate, repeat" and if you are a "top" starter, "Right top down, left bottom up, rotate to next pair, right top down, left bottom up, rotate, repeat".
Try these with Petite Satin Cord.
