We’ll meet in the family life center at 9am for the nativity story, 10am in the Fellowship Hall for Adult Sunday School and gather again at 4 pm in the back parking lot for a special Blue Christmas service (see details below). Want to join the church? The last opportunity of 2020 will be this Sunday morning!

Stay tuned as we discern what 2021 will look like. We anticipate continuing the small 9am socially distanced service and the online 11am service on January 3 with a new sermon series, “The Bible in 40 words.”

Come & Go Blessings in the Sanctuary

Stop by the Sanctuary (or just the front porch) for a blessing from Pastor Stella. Enjoy the decorations and the sacred space of the sanctuary.

Church members will be asked to choose a time and sign up online so that we will be spread out over the time period for safety, but no one will be turned away on Christmas Eve – you may just have to wait a bit to come in.

7:30 PM Christmas Eve on Zoom- Sign on and worship with your church family. Sign on information will be provided.
Fill the Stable Project

During Advent, the congregation at KUMC prepares our hearts for the Christ child by remembering that Christmas is not our birthday but Jesus' birthday. Every year we have a “Fill the Stable” mission focus for Advent to reorient our giving in this season toward others in Jesus’ name. In honor or memory of a loved one, you can purchase an animal or a share of an animal through Heifer International to help “fill the stable” for Christmas Eve.

Heifer gives livestock and training to people around the world, following up on how they are doing, and transforming communities in the process. The most beautiful of the Heifer principles is called “Passing on the Gift.” After their projects are established, families that received resources from Heifer pass on these gifts to other families in need in their community, allowing them to help others as they have been helped.

Please select your animal donation option using the button below. You will be able to fill in the name of your loved one as well. You will be given Payment Options and Honor Card options after you fill out this form.
Well Church Family, it appears the Grinch has stolen our Giving Tree! (Maybe he took it to the North Pole to fix that one light that was out on the side??)

But... hats and gloves are still very much needed as the weather gets colder! If you have any to donate, please place them in the Blessings Box.

We'll pray that whoever ended up with our tree needed it more than we did.

Alternative Free Garage Sale-Plan B

As with most things in 2020, we have had to regroup and get creative. We were not able to do our Annual Free Garage Sale in April due to COVID restrictions but Shannon Taylor has come up with a great alternative solution to help us de-clutter and enrich the lives of others in need.

During the holidays, use your extra time to clean out your closets, garages and attics. We will be donating our items this year to Arms of Hope, a not-for-profit Christian care organization that assists children and single-mother families in need. For more information, visit armsofhope.org/

Bring your clean, undamaged clothing, toys and household items to the Family Life Center on Wednesday January 13- Friday January 15 from 10am-1pm or Friday January 15 from 5-7pm. Items must be bagged or boxed. No large appliances or mattresses will be accepted. Masks required. Arms of Hope will collect our donations on Saturday, January 16th.

Volunteers are need to accept donations at the above listed days and times. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Jayme Bryson at 512-539-8972.
Bring your own coffee and lawn chair and join us for Coffee Under the Tree every other Tuesday at 9:30am.
