Sunday, Dec 22nd
during Sunday School

Join us to celebrate the reason for the season- Jesus' birthday! We'll celebrate at 10:00am during Sunday school and then get ready for the Children's pageant.
Last Sunday to purchase an animal for the Fill the Stable Project! Children can bring their offering banks to this Sunday's service or the service on Christmas Eve!

During Advent, the congregation at KUMC prepares our hearts for the Christ child by remembering that Christmas is not our birthday but Jesus' birthday. Our “Fill the Stable” mission focus for Advent reorients our giving in this season toward others in Jesus’ name. Instead of buying a poinsettia in honor or memory of a loved one, you can purchase an animal or a share of an animal through Heifer International to help “fill the stable” for Christmas Eve.
Heifer gives livestock and training to people around the world, following up on how they are doing, and transforming communities in the process. The most beautiful of the Heifer principles is called “Passing on the Gift.” After their projects are established, families that received resources from Heifer pass on these gifts to other families in need in their community, allowing them to help others as they have been helped.

For more information on Heifer International, visit
4 more poinsettias available! Contact Christie to order!

The members of the Living the Questions Adult Sunday School class invite you to join in a study of John Wesley and Methodists, the beliefs and actions that started the group of believers called Methodists.

The class will consist of some readings, some presentations, and an extended dialogue about what it means to us today. Travel with us from Epworth, Lincolnshire in 1703 through time attending Oxford, during ordination in the Anglican church, on a trip to the New World in 1735 to preach in Georgia, and onward to return to England, Aldergate Street, and the continued the development of a group of Methodists, in both England and America, as Methodism was born. Live the Questions with us in the faith journey.

We invite you to join us at 10:00 on Sunday mornings in the Wallace Classroom.

THANK YOU KUMC! Your generous support has resulted in wonderful gift bags for the elderly and disabled residents of Kyle Housing Authority located on 2nd Street in Kyle.

The bags include a throw, popcorn, hot cocoa, a mug and other assorted holiday goodies. In fact, your response was so great that it resulted in more throws than were needed. The extra throws are being distributed to persons receiving Meals on Wheels. The route drivers making meal deliveries know which persons are most in need. Thank you again for sharing God's love and blessings with our community.

Who wants to come hang out with some awesome youth?!? We are in need of adults to help with Youth Group. Can't help every Sunday? That's ok! Help when you're able. We have to have a minimum of 2 adults each Sunday for Safe Gatherings ratio so that gives us an opportunity to have lots of adults impact the lives of the kids in our growing youth group!

Can't help on Sundays? You can support our youth by providing meals and snacks.
If you'd like to volunteer or want more information, please contact Alissa Villarreal at or 361-441-4206.
Our purpose is to serve God by dedicating ourselves to pray each day for each person, need and concern as listed in both the confidential prayer list and the persons named in the church bulletin and newsletter.
