I am so grateful for you! I hear about strife in our nation and in churches about when things should reopen and what the rules should be, and I give thanks to God that we have not experienced that at KUMC.

In every step of this frightening journey, we have been of one mind, loving one another, and seeking to care for the vulnerable as best we can. As I have listened to the experts and the community, I have begun praying about May 31 as a possible date to worship in person together again. I envision using the gift of our large Family Life Center, maintaining social distancing and other safety precautions, and continuing to offer an online offering as the point of connection for most people. 

May 31 is the Day of Pentecost, when we observe the outpouring of the Holy Spirit as reported in Acts of the Apostles. Would you join me in Praying for Pentecost? We will decide as the day approaches, but until then, May God keep us safe and give us wisdom. Keep reading for a couple of other options to be together - a car parade to cheer our community and drive-in dinner church.

We have had a lot of requests for ways to stay connected during our separation. One suggestion has been to send the church directory, by email, to all church members so that people can keep in touch.

If you would not like your information included in the emailed directory, please email Alissa at [email protected] by Tuesday, May 19th. Information included will be name, address, email address and phone number.

Wednesday, May 13, 5:30 PM – Drive By Dinner Church, 6:30pm Grocery Give Away

We plan to do another food giveaway on our usual second Wednesday on the month in May. We would also like to continue our Dinner Church tradition with a drive-by. Come by between 5:30 and 6:30 and pick up frito pie kits and written devotionals for your family. Listen to some music and wave hello to a few church friends. 

Beginning at 6:30, you can also pick up a box of food if you have need. We will preregister guests the week of May 13. The Blessing Box will also be available for drop off or pick up.

We are going to start providing monthly Sunday School/activity bags for the kids full of coloring pages, chalk, bubbles, etc--no more work for mom & dad, I promise! Just fun things to keep them occupied! Please comment below if your children would like one!



We will have them ready to hand out at the Drive Thru dinner church event on Wednesday, May 13th but if you're not able to attend, we'll make sure and get it to you!

Sunday Night Youth Group- suspended until Further Notice

We want to keep our Youth healthy and Safe! We will not meet in person until further notice. Check our KUMC Youth Facebook or Instagram for faith formation activities you can do at home!

We are doing Sunday School, Youth Group Game night and Thursday Night Check in by Zoom meeting. Check Facebook for the links to the meetings!

Our purpose is to serve God by dedicating ourselves to pray each day for each person, need and concern as listed in both the confidential prayer list and the persons named in the church bulletin and newsletter.
