Fill the Stable Project

During Advent, the congregation at KUMC prepares our hearts for the Christ child by remembering that Christmas is not our birthday but Jesus' birthday. Every year we have a “Fill the Stable” mission focus for Advent to reorient our giving in this season toward others in Jesus’ name. In honor or memory of a loved one, you can purchase an animal or a share of an animal through Heifer International to help “fill the stable” for Christmas Eve.

Heifer gives livestock and training to people around the world, following up on how they are doing, and transforming communities in the process. The most beautiful of the Heifer principles is called “Passing on the Gift.” After their projects are established, families that received resources from Heifer pass on these gifts to other families in need in their community, allowing them to help others as they have been helped.

Please select your animal donation option using the button below. You will be able to fill in the name of your loved one as well. You will be given Payment Options and Honor Card options after you fill out this form.
Hello KUMC Family,

This year we are going virtual for our Angel Child gift giving. Please select and sign up for the child you would provide a gift for. We will continue to update the sign up with more children as needed. Gifts will need to be brought to the church and dropped off in the Fellowship Hall no later than Dec 4.

Please contact Natalie Simcoe at [email protected] or 512-422-4309 if you have any questions or issues with selecting a child.
There will be an opportunity to purchase gift cards or donate monetarily for gift cards for caregivers of the children. Sign up slots will be added to the Sign Up Genius and there will be an Angel Tree donation option on the KUMC online giving page.

WEEKLY DEVOTIONALS

During this time of sheltering in place, we have all longed for a touching connection with our world, our faith and our friends. With this in mind, Kyle UMW is offering a weekly devotional to be emailed, texted or mailed directly to you. You don’t have to be a member of Kyle United Methodist Church to receive it. NOVEMBER 2020 CHEER CIRCLE

The Cheer Circle met on Monday, November 9th in the FLC. The meeting was enjoyed by all who attended. We planned our Kyle Housing Authority Christmas Bags Giving and Bake Sale for the upcoming KUMC Craft Faire on December 5th. We shared in the Annual World Thank Offering presented by Treasurer Shirley Ellis. Our giving helps women, children and youth worldwide through United Methodist Women and Missions.

We will continue to meet and follow COVID protocols and Kyle city requirements. We take temperatures, sanitize and space out chairs and wear masks. We will not be serving lunch until further notice.

The Cheer Circle meets on the second Monday of each month. We share a monthly devotional, prayers, fellowship and friendship. We invite interested ladies to please come and visit the Cheer Circle. We welcome new faces and new ideas. We enjoy working on our local and global missions; focusing on women and children’s needs.

If you want to hear more about this wonderful opportunity of faith and service, please call Circle Leader Lynne Kyle at 512-504-3888.
