October is Pastor Appreciation Month

Make sure to let Pastor Stella and Pastor Jeana know how much you appreciate them by sending a note or card to PO Box 69, Kyle, Texas 78640!

Pastor Stella says "Thank you for showering me with love and appreciation!"

A note from Pastor Jeana-
Dear Kyle UMC,

Thank you so much for the flowers, cards and gifts you gave for pastor appreciation!! I’m so thankful to serve with Pastor Stella and all of you here at KUMC.

Peace,
Pastor Jeana
Front Porch Worship
Every Sunday at 9am (in addition to online worship)

Bring a comfortable lawn chair and join us under the shade tree in front of the church on Sundays. Beginning on the first Sunday of September, we will be holding a short, simple worship service each Sunday with prayer, Scripture, and communion.

We will social distance and wear masks for safety. Please note, our regular online service will still be our primary service every Sunday and posted on Facebook and YouTube as usual. Stay home, worship online, and stay safe if you need to – but come be fed on the church lawn if you’re feeling hungry and ready for that.
Blessing of the Animals
Sunday, October 18th, 6-7:45pm

Join us at the Dog Park at Steeplechase Park for a time to celebrate and give thanks for our pets. Stop by and let us give your pet a blessing.
Dear Church Families-

This year due to COVID restrictions, in lieu of the normal Trick or Treating for the Foodbank where the kids dress up and go door to door collecting food, we’d like to make this a contact-free church-wide, community wide event.

What we envision is church members from different subdivisions and communities around Kyle advertising to their community that KUMC is collecting food for the Food Bank and our Blessings Box. This can be done through homeowner association newsletters and community Facebook pages. (I will provide you with a letter template!) Advertising will include a contact free pick up time (October 31st from 9am-11am) and a contact person (you!) that residents will contact with their address for food pickup. During that time, you and any other church members from your subdivision will pick up the food from people’s porches and bring it to KUMC to help restock our Blessings Box pantry. We will leave a treat on the porches of people that donate! You are welcome to wear a costume if you wish when you do pick up! I will be at the church Fellowship Hall to receive the food items at 11am on the 31st.

Can you help us with this project? Please contact Alissa Villarreal to participate. We have contact people from Steeplechase, Kensington Trails and Hometown Kyle if you live in those neighborhoods and want to help with pick up. Looking for a contact person from Plum Creek and any other neighborhoods!
