Bring your food items and let's see who our community wants to win more....the Buccaneers or the Chiefs!

The ritual of marking our foreheads with ashes marks the beginning of the 40-day period of Lent. It is a reminder of our mortality and need for God.

We will gather on Zoom at 7 PM on February 17th  to observe Ash Wednesday. A small packet of ashes is included in your Lent Boxes so you can participate from home.

The Bible describes not only placing ashes, but also dust, on the head, and putting on sackcloth, a rough type of burlap, as a sign of sorrow.
“Then I turned to the Lord God to seek an answer…
with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.” – Daniel 9:3

The Zoom ID number is 874 0824 7480 and the password is 98 25 76. You can also simply pray the  prayer on the enclosed card as you mark your forehead or join with your household  and mark each other. (The ashes stick better if you mix in a drop or two of olive oil.)
Your UMW will be working on the yearly calendar and planning for a great 2021! We all want to wish you God’s blessings in the New Year!

We will be changing to a monthly devotional in 2021 as we continue pray for a release from the Covid virus and still keeping connected. It will come on the 4th Thursday each month. If you have been receiving the weekly devotional, you will automatically receive the monthly devotional. You don’t have to be a member of Kyle United Methodist Church to receive it. Just contact Lynne Kyle at 775-338-2014 (mobile) or 512-504-3888 (home) or

Due to cold weather heading our way, the Cheer Circle meeting has been moved to Monday, February 15th in the Church Courtyard at 11am. Bad weather/rain will postpone us to March 8, 2021. Let’s pray for good weather! We will continue to follow COVID protocols and Kyle city requirements. Please wear your mask and bring a chair and beverage. We will not be serving lunch until further notice.
The Cheer Circle meets on the second Monday of each month.  We share a monthly devotional, prayers, fellowship and friendship. We invite interested ladies to please come and visit the Cheer Circle. We welcome new faces and new ideas. We enjoy working on our local and global missions; focusing on women and children’s needs.

If you want to hear more about this wonderful opportunity of faith and service, please call Circle Leader Lynne Kyle at 512-504-3888.

NEW for 2021!

We will be doing Sunday School by Zoom at 10:30am every other Sunday starting January 3rd! We really enjoyed the "face to face" time with our kiddos. Alternate weeks will have crafts and other activities for the kids to do! Zoom link is same Children's Ministry Zoom we have been using but it will be posted to Facebook again in case you need it! We are looking forward to the possibility of outdoor, distanced Sunday School when things warm up in the Spring.

All Sunday School is virtual for now, but this is a great opportunity to build that family faith formation at home! Check our KUMC Children's Ministry Facebook page for resources!

Check out our New Virtual Classroom for Children's time videos, Sunday School Lessons, bible story videos, games and craft ideas!
