Welcome to a rewarding partnership!
To all our wonderful nonprofit and tech partners:
Octoberfest for Good is an afternoon of Beer tasting for good!
Date: October 14th 2018
Time: 3pm-6pm* come anytime or stay all day!
The historic  Marshall House  has donated their scenic grounds for our fundraiser which benefits:  LEASHES of Valor  and  Second Story . Leashes of Valor pairs rescued service dogs with our veterans to support their specific PTSD needs. Second Story is the only remaining exclusively teen/young person shelter in Fairfax county. Their services support trafficked, homeless, or abandoned teens who have no where to go and for whom a traditional shelter would not be a good fit. The fee for entrance goes 100% to charity. Both of these charities will be on hand that day to talk about their mission and share their stories!
Octoberfest is a day of beer and root beer tasting provided by several regional breweries.
Your ticket gets you a tasting glass, entrance to the event, and tours of the historic Marshall House.
Kyrus Charities supports families and will host a root beer tasting and floats for the kiddos during the event. Kids get in free to the event.
Food trucks will be on hand and there is tons of covered and uncovered space for picnics and socializing.

Hello Everyone!
My name is Ally O'Neill and I am interning with Kyrus Charities during my first semester of my senior year! I am beyond excited to use this opportunity to learn more about nonprofit organizations, as well as improving my writing skills. During my high school experience, I have been involved in a wide range of organizations, differing from a local food pantry to being a Student Ambassador for Save the Children Action Network. Watching the many conflicts abroad and near home has revealed to me the importance of giving back to our global community. For this reason, I am so excited to begin my internship with Kyrus Charities!
Kyrus Charities making an impact for Good
Family Tree, a 501(c)3 human services agency, is the only non-profit organization in Metro Denver addressing the interconnected issues of child abuse, domestic violence, and homelessness. Through an integrated services model utilizing various supportive services, Family Tree empowers individuals and families to transform their lives into becoming safe, strong, and self-reliant. This ultimately changes how individuals, families, and communities see, respond to, and overcome these challenges.
Kyrus Charities provides knowledge and support to Family Tree and community advocates, regarding the complexities of technology enabled abuse. With the rise and influence of technology in our daily lives, tech enabled abuse and stalking is becoming a growing concern for survivors and advocates alike. Community advocates are in a unique position to provide solutions and support around technology safety to survivors, therefore we look to organizations, such as Kyrus Charities and Disruptive Solutions, to receive a comprehensive overview of major technology areas and solutions that can be deployed by advocates and survivors to develop robust safety plans. We look forward to a continued partnership with Kyrus Charities, through their upcoming development of a checklist for advocates to use, addressing the digital security needs of survivors.
