Trinity's home hospital in Tampa recently installed a new computer system, and the hospital is still trying to work out all of the system's bugs. It took us over 4 hours to register and sign-in so that Trinity could receive her Nuc-Med MIBG injection.
Trinity's hair has started falling out in several spots again, and her oncology teams are unsure of the reasons why. The clinical trial she was on caps out at 2 years, so that chemo has stopped. Trinity will be taking her 2nd round of chemo for 1-2 more years.
Because she is still on treatment after being diagnosed 3.5 years ago, along with already having relapsed once, Trinity's oncologists are not comfortable following "protocol" that COG suggests of being seen every 6-12 months. Since Trinity is high risk for a second relapse, we will be back to labs and clinic check-ups every 2 months.
In the #TrinityTough community, we have a motto of #WeFightTogether. Will you fight with us?
