CAHR Program
Project #1 Completed

Janet Duman has lived in her home since 1983. She has a bad back and was forced to retire and live on restricted income. Her roof began to leak, and she didn't know what to do.

When she found our Clarkston Affordable Home Repair Program, she knew her prayers were answered. For a manageable payment and some sweat equity, her home was saved.

Click here to listen to a short clip of Janet telling her story.
Low-income Clarkston city limit residents take note!

L-C Valley Habitat at LCSC Welcome Fair
L-C Valley Habitat for Humanity is excited to announce our two LC Work Scholars for the upcoming academic year. Vanesa Serna is new to our affiliate this fall as our Volunteer Specialist. Julia Frey is returning as our Community Relations Manager.

Work Scholars are full-time students that come to us through a business partnership with LCSC. In exchange for a 10-hour a week commitment to their job site, students earn a full tuition scholarship. Sites have the option of offering additional hours to students.
For additional information on the LCSC Work Scholars program, please visit their website or feel free to ask the ladies about their experiences when you see them.
Come see us at the fair
L-C Valley Habitat will have a booth at the Nez Perce County Fair, September 23-26. Lewiston High School Seniors Day of Caring

On Monday, August 30th Twin County United Way partnered with Lewiston High School to engage the seniors in a "Day of Caring."

The students were divided into small groups and sent to participating organizations around the valley to give back.

We were fortunate enough to have 6 students spend an hour in our ReStore. They helped organize several areas of the store and made things more shoppable for our customers. We enjoyed working with them and appreciate their help!
