Building affordable homes in
Nez Perce and Asotin Counties since 1991
November 2020
We Build Strength, Stability & Self-Reliance
In this season of giving thanks, families, like your family, will gather at home to remember good times and to create more. That’s what a home does; it provides a stable place for families to grow strong and make memories.

We are excited to announce that our next L-C Valley Habitat for Humanity homeowner, Brittni Curl and her son, Brentlee, signed a Letter of Intent to partner with Habitat for a zero-interest mortgage. She is so thankful for their new Habitat home. “It's beautiful. I am looking forward to Brentlee having our own backyard to play in,” Brittni says.

Habitat for Humanity works alongside families like Brittni’s in communities all over the world, to help them build or improve a place they can call home. We are thankful to be able to help these homeowners fulfill their dreams. We appreciate how a home can help a family build a better life for themselves. And we give thanks to all those who make that opportunity possible. Your giftsyour voice, and your time make strength, stability and self-reliance a reality for more families every day.

Your support of Habitat makes all the difference. A recent report noted the following benefits that commonly arise from homeownership:
·  better health
·    greater educational achievements
·    better security and safety
·    helps generate wealth building and a pathway out of poverty

That is something to celebrate, something for which we are tremendously
THANKFUL!

The 2020 L-C Valley Pumpkin Patch-
our annual fundraiser...A Huge Success.
We Sold Out of Pumpkins!
Check out this review from the mother of the happy baby pictured above:

Such a perfect little trip to the pumpkin patch! Come of the biggest smiles I've ever seen on my boy's face and it seemed like every single pumpkin was perfect in every way! Cute photo ops, great prices, friendly faces, and family activities! Definitely making our visit an annual tradition. Thank you for such a wonderful experience! -Jo (Clarkston)

Thank you to our Pumpkin Patch Host!
Thank you to the Clarkston United Methodist Church Family for graciously hosting our pumpkin patch this year. It was a huge success, and we sold out of pumpkins for the first time ever! We hope you all were able to take the time to come visit us and join in the fun.

Donna was our top volunteer at the 2020 Pumpkin Patch. She generously worked 30 hours, picking up extra shifts whenever she saw the need. We can't begin to thank you enough, Donna!
Meet Donna London
I recently relocated to the valley from Ohio. I chose Clarkston because my twin sister and her husband live here and I have enjoyed visiting them many times.

While working as a Flight Attendant for the last 20 years I said often "when I retire I am going to volunteer for Habitat for Humanity".  I arrived in Clarkston just in time to volunteer for the Pumpkin Patch! I hope to be involved in building projects as well. I am an experienced painter and enjoy the satisfaction of a job well done. I would also like to learn more about plumbing and electrical.

I look forward to meeting new people and making lasting friendships. I enjoy quiet activities, reading, crochet, movie watching, board games and drinks with friends. HGTV is my guilty pleasure.  I am looking forward to spending more time in the outdoors, hiking, kayaking, picnics.
