Why Volunteer?
Part of being a volunteer is loving what you're doing. Find something that you're passionate about or something that inspires you, and then find a need in your community.

There are dozens of reasons why you should volunteer - you just need to find the one that feels right. Take a look at the list below and see if you find a reason that resonates with you! Then click the green button that works for you.

How is Volunteering Changing?
The current crisis compels us to think differently about our own volunteering. According to a recent survey from Volunteer Match, half of the respondents who were volunteers answered that they want to help in-person and would like ideas on how to do so, while most of the remaining respondents were more comfortable switching to virtual volunteering.

Jennifer McGlothen

Kacey Betts
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR
Jennifer is a social work major at Lewis-Clark State College. She has had an active role with Habitat for Humanity since September of 2019 as a volunteer on the Homeowner Support committee.

Jennifer is motivated by a desire to help others as well as to help create a change in her own community. L-C Valley Habitat for Humanities mission and purpose are the driving force behind her active involvement.

Jennifer is an LC Work Scholar and joined Habitat for Humanity in May as the new part-time Volunteer Coordinator. Jennifer’s favorite quote is, “Be the change you want to see”. Here at Habitat we couldn’t agree more!
CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
A husband and father of three with a background in construction, Kacey enjoys spending his days working, going on adventures with his family, and having fun in the garden.

After traveling the Western side of the country with his wife, Kacey and Colleen knew they wanted to make the Valley home. So four years and three children later they returned to the Valley in 2017 to raise their family.

Kacey is excited to start his new adventures with the Habitat Team and all of the wonderful volunteers that make it happen!

Welcome to our newest board member
Becka Picchena
I was born and raised in Lewiston and graduated from Lewiston High School in 2002. I went to work for River Cities Real Estate (formerly Ray J. White & Sons) in 2003 and became co-owner and Associate Broker of the company in 2019. I’ve been a licensed Realtor for 16 years. I am a wife and mother of two children, ages 9 and 6.

I currently serve on the Lewis Clark Board of Realtors BOD as president elect and have served two years on the Realtor Political Action Committee Events Committee as well as the Lewis Clark Association of Realtors MLS Committee. I am very excited to join the Habitat Team and use my background to help in any ways possible!
