LIVE on COMPUTER or PHONE
TORAH PARSHA: Leviticus Tazria
We are most fortunate to welcome Rabbi Zvi Kahn, an Orthodox rabbi and educator, as our guest each week, along with our Rabbi Barry Silver to hold these insightful discussions about Torah and more, where we can hear two perspectives and views.

A most fascinating hour where we are able to unite the divide felt between denominations of Judaism and bring intellect, reason and open dialogue front and center. Enjoy hearing about the upcoming Torah passage from both Rabbis, one Orthodox and one progressive. Depending on the questions from the participants, we may also get into discussions about Judaism, Israel, and current events happening today. Join us for this hour of enlightening discussion.

AN IMPORTANT NEW PROGRAM Don't miss this please ...

YOM HASHOAH Special Program

Join us in hearing
SURVIVOR RALPH MOLLERICK
share his story

Wednesday, APRIL 7 at 7:00 pm ET

Yom HaShoah, Holocaust and Heroism Day of Remembrance, begins Wednesday, April 7 at sundown. We are very fortunate and privileged to have as our guest Ralph Mollerick, who is a Holocaust survivor and one of the children saved by being placed onto the KinderTransport. Join with L'Dor Va-Dor and hear Mr. Mollerick's story, the many challenges he faced in his new life in England and then America, and what he did to make a real difference!

We will commemorate the millions who perished in a meaningful manner, followed by Mr. Mollerick's slide presentation and discussion. We will leave time at the end of the program for questions (which can be typed into the Chat window at any time).

You will not want to miss this important and special presentation. Because not only is Mr. Mollerick a survivor, but he returned to his homeland of Germany to ensure that those who did not survive would be remembered always in his birthplace. Mr. Mollerick is an excellent speaker and this is indeed a very special opportunity to hear his amazing story first-hand!

PLEASE SHARE THIS WITH OTHERS, who may not be on our email list of this newsletter. This important program will be on Zoom, but will also be available by phone for those that do not have or do not feel comfortable with the technology.

FROM THE MIND OF
LEONARDO DA VINCI:
Visionary Machines and Ideas -
a lesser known side of this brilliant man

Presented by Geoffrey Kashdan
Sunday, April 25 at 7:30 pm
LIVE on COMPUTER or PHONE

*NEW* Special Zoom Presentation

Leonardo Da Vinci was an AMAZING and brilliant man! He wrote a letter to Ludovico Sforza in which he offered "his resume". He proceeded to outline 36 areas of his expertise ... and at the time, Leonardo was only 30 years old!

We all know of Da Vinci's beautiful paintings and his anatomical explorations. Less known to people of our time was his fascination and experimentation with mechanical designs, many of which would be realized about 500 years AFTER his death! He was an extremely interesting and unique person in history and will be the TOPIC for this discussion to be expertly presented by educator Geoffrey Kashdan!

We look forward to having your participation in this special Sunday evening program! The Zoom meeting information will be shared the week prior to this event.

A New and Modern Version of the 23rd PSALM
written by Rabbi Barry Silver

Copyright Rabbi Barry Silver March 28, 2021 All rights reserved

The world is my treasure,
I shall not want.
I give thanks for green pastures that provide our daily bread,
I rejoice in the sacred waters of ocean, rivers lakes and streams,
May we restore the purity of these sources of life.
I seek the spiritual path and the peace of a good name for my parents’ sake.
Yea, though I walk in the valley of the shadow of mortality,
I shall fear no evil
For reason and love, they comfort me and I have no need of false gods.
My enemies are defeated when I make them my friends,
My mind is anointed with reason,
My Yiddish Kopf runneth over with emeth and tzedek.
Surely, I shall pursue kindness and mercy all the days of my life,
And I shall dwell in love and peace forever.

JEWISH DICTIONARY shared by Harris Freedman

Jewbilation (n..) Pride in finding out that one's favorite celebrity is Jewish or that your offspring is marrying a Jewish person.

Matzilation  (v.) Smashing a piece of matzo to bits while trying to butter it.
Chutzpapa  (n.) A father who wakes his wife at 4:00 a.m. so she can change the baby's diaper.

We hope to SEE YOU THERE in-person (safely) at our next SHABBAT OUTDOORS on Saturday, April 17th at 10:00 am at the Canyon Amphitheater, behind the Canyon Town Center on West Boynton Beach Blvd and Lyons Road. We have had two exciting outdoor Shabbat celebrations so far and this one should be even better! We will not only be celebrating Shabbat and Israeli Independence day, but also EARTH DAY! We welcome all to join in, enjoy the outdoors, do a mitzvah by bringing non-perishable food to donate to those in need, bring a chair, wear a mask, and let's have a beautiful and special time together!

Please join us for the special program this Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm with the rare opportunity of hearing the story of Ralph Mollerick, a KinderTransport and Holocaust survivor. He is a lovely speaker. Also please consider joining in for our very hamasha time with two Rabbis this Tuesday evening, tomorrow, at 7:00 pm for some insight into the upcoming Torah parsha and any questions you may have about all things Jewish.

We hope that you are getting outdoors and enjoying this cooler weather we are experiencing, probably the last for a long while. We wish you a beautiful week and to be healthy and stay well. Remember we are YOUR congregation and are THERE FOR YOU if you need us! You are always welcome to contact any of us listed below by phone or email address.

Wishing you a wonderful week, filled to overflowing with love, laughter and much shalom! Shavua Tov, a good week, to you all! Thinking of you and missing being with you.
With Shalom,
