Free Tutoring, Resources, and Workshops Available This Month

Got tech troubles or want to boost your digital skills? Whatley Technology Services is here for you! Our friendly expert provides troubleshooting, guidance, and personalized tutoring to help you master your tech. Connect with Mr. Whatley during the hours listed to tackle technology with confidence!

Join us for this month’s Resilient Warriors Mental Wellness Workshops with Suzzette Williams, where we focus on identity, growth, and emotional strength. On Friday, March 6 at 6 PM, we’ll explore Redefining Strength by embracing emotional expression as a core part of true resilience. Then, on Friday, March 20 at 11 AM, we’ll continue with From Transition to Transformation, a powerful session on turning life’s challenges into opportunities for growth and leadership. These workshops are designed to empower, inspire, and support your personal wellness journey.

Join us on Saturday, March 7 and March 21 at 11 AM for a helpful wellness session on minimizing the impact of allergies. We’ll explore how certain foods can naturally reduce allergy symptoms and discuss supplements and essential oils that may offer additional support during allergy season. This session is a great opportunity to learn simple, practical strategies to help you feel your best.

Join us for two upcoming Computer Skills Workshops designed to strengthen your digital confidence and productivity. On Tuesday, March 10 at 6 PM, we’ll dive into Mastering AI (Advanced), exploring practical ways to use artificial intelligence tools to enhance work, learning, and everyday tasks. Then, on Tuesday, March 24 at 11 AM, join us for Google Workspace Basics, where you’ll learn to navigate Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, and other essential tools to stay organized and effective. These sessions are great for building real-world tech skills at any level. 

Join us on Thursday, March 12 at 11 AM for a Financial Workshop with Regions Bank focused on Estate Planning. This session will cover the essential steps for protecting your assets, preparing for the future, and making informed decisions for yourself and your loved ones. It’s a valuable opportunity to learn practical guidance from financial professionals and build confidence in planning ahead.  

Join us on Wednesday, March 18 at 7 PM for an informative session on Common Mistakes Homebuyers Make When Buying Real Estate. This workshop will walk you through the most frequent pitfalls buyers encounter—such as overlooking key inspection details, misunderstanding financing options, and rushing the decision-making process—so you can feel confident and prepared on your path to homeownership. Whether you’re a first-time buyer or simply looking to sharpen your knowledge, this session is designed to help you make smarter, informed real estate decisions. 

Our Community Resource Center is open year‑round to support individuals and families in need. We offer free clothing, food, hygiene supplies, and essential household items every Tuesday, Thursday, and the 2nd Saturday of each month from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Donations are accepted all year, and we welcome anyone who could benefit from these resources to stop by—our doors and our hearts are always open.

Our annual Holiday Giving 2025 celebration was a heartwarming success, bringing joy and essential support to 483 individuals through toys, bikes, winter essentials, holiday meal bags, and fun family activities. From the lively Kids Activity Center to Dr. Lemelle spreading cheer as Santa in our photo booth, it was truly a day filled with community, compassion, and holiday spirit.
