The Latest L.Y.G.H.T. Research Findings 
The results are in! We are excited to share the L.Y.G.H.T. (Listening and Led by Youth in Foster Care: Grief, Hope, and Transitions) findings and feedback from the youth who participated in our first randomized control trial (RCT)!

In the study, youth who participated in the L.Y.G.H.T. program reported increased social support, hopefulness, and self-worth compared to youth who did not participate in the L.Y.G.H.T. program.

2021 L.Y.G.H.T. Facilitator Training a Success
This summer we held our annual L.Y.G.H.T. Facilitator training! The three-day training provided both virtual and in-person learning to the staff and community volunteers from six community sites throughout South Carolina. A total of 21 L.Y.G.H.T. Facilitators were trained on the model and are excited to offer the L.Y.G.H.T. program to South Carolina teens (12-16) and young adults (17-23) in foster care. We are so grateful to our partners who recognize and acknowledge the importance of providing support to youth in foster care who are grieving. 
Announcing New L.Y.G.H.T. Community Partners 
We are delighted to announce the six of community sites in South Carolina who will be offering the L.Y.G.H.T. program this Fall 2021. Thanks to our wonderful partners, the L.Y.G.H.T. program will be offered to teens (12-16 years old) and young adults (17-23 years old) residing in children's homes, foster homes, and transitional living homes in the upstate, midlands, and low country of South Carolina!

● Pendleton Place in Greenville (Young Adult Group)
● Hope Center for Children in Spartanburg (Teen Group & Young Adult Group)
● Children's Attention Home in Rock Hill (Teen Group)
● Epworth Children's Home in Columbia (Teen Group)
● Carolina Youth Development Center in Charleston (Teen Group & Young Adult Group)
● Thornwell in Clinton (Teen Group)

Do you know a youth in care (12-23 years old) who is interested in participating in L.Y.G.H.T.? We encourage you to share the word to help them connect with a L.Y.G.H.T. group in their area. Find or more information about the days/times of L.Y.G.H.T. groups being offered in South Carolina here.
