L.Y.G.H.T. is Evidenced-Based!
The L.Y.G.H.T. Program is now the first and only evidence-based grief and loss peer-support intervention for youth in foster care. It has been tested and translated into a grief-informed, trauma-informed practical model, and is now available to child welfare and community-based organizations in South Carolina. For more information about our evidence-based program, please visit the L.Y.G.H.T. website. Our recently published academic journal article, The L.Y.G.H.T. Program: An Evaluation of a Peer Grief Support Intervention for Youth in Foster Care, can be accessed here.
SC L.Y.G.H.T. Facilitator Training, 2022
The South Carolina L.Y.G.H.T. Facilitator Training is just a few months away, to be held in July 2022. The three-day training will provide in-person learning to the staff and community volunteers from selected community sites throughout the state. We are excited to welcome our new volunteer facilitators to this annual training! We also want to extend our deep appreciation to The Duke Endowment whose support allows us to offer this training at no-cost to our attendees.
We look forward to offering L.Y.G.H.T. to more sites, giving additional youth in foster care access to L.Y.G.H.T. through our current and future community partners.

The presentation will be held on June 29 from 10:15-11:45 a.m. ET. If you are in attendance, please stop by and say hello. The L.Y.G.H.T. team would love to see you!
L.Y.G.H.T. is coming to Portland, Oregon
The L.Y.G.H.T. Program is expanding across the nation and making its way to Oregon! Dougy Center is currently speaking to local partners in Portland, Oregon to grow L.Y.G.H.T. into a program that can be offered youth and young adults in foster care on the West Coast. Are you located in the Portland Metro area and want to add the L.Y.G.H.T. Program to your services for support? If you are interested in becoming a community site or L.Y.G.H.T.
