SC L.Y.G.H.T. is Expanding
Thank you to our Fantastic Facilitators
Kudos to our L.Y.G.H.T. program facilitators! With their ongoing support and dedication, the L.Y.G.H.T. program is being offered to teens and young adults in foster care who have expressed the need for a peer-led space to discuss their experiences of loss and grief. These trained facilitators are employees of L.Y.G.H.T. community sites or members of the community who volunteer their time to facilitate the groups for teens and young adults in foster care. If you or someone you know is interested in becoming a L.Y.G.H.T. facilitator, stay tuned for the annual SC L.Y.G.H.T. facilitator training coming next Summer 2022. Email [email protected] to learn more!
Connect with L.Y.G.H.T.
The L.Y.G.H.T. program wants to be connected to all our community partners, including teens and young adults in foster care, case managers, "family group home staff", foster parents, and members from other child welfare agencies. Help us spread the word and keep up with the latest updates for the L.Y.G.H.T. program. Gain easy access to information about how to find or join a program at our community sites in South Carolina! We’re recruiting for L.Y.G.H.T.
The L.Y.G.H.T. team is still recruiting participants at SC L.Y.G.H.T. community sites in the upstate and low country for the four groups scheduled to begin in January 2022. If you know a teen or young adult in foster care in the Greenville or Charleston area who may be interested or might find a peer grief support group helpful to them during this time in their lives, please contact Juliette Martinez, MSW at 803-403-6940 or [email protected]. We would love to share more information with you about the program and welcome more youth to L.Y.G.H.T.!
