A WEEK WITH BIA
Dear Member:

We are seven weeks into the Governor's Stay at Home Order. BIA has worked tirelessly to keep building operational and functioning. This week our Members heard from city and county leaders on the progress being made to maintain this mission.

Our Los Angeles County Committee featured County Planning, and Public Works staff who were on hand to help provide information on new policies and procedures for building processing. We are grateful to County leadership for keeping home building a priority throughout the region. BIA-LAV's San Gabriel Valley Committee hosted Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek and Planning Director David Ruiz. They spent a generous amount of time answering Members' questions and providing insight on the City's economic recovery planning.

However, despite COVID-19 being the main focus of our efforts, we are also confronting pre-Coronavirus housing policies threatening production. We are working for you through this pandemic and through the continued housing crisis.
