A WEEK WITH BIA
BIA FIGHTS TO KEEP CONSTRUCTION MOVING
Dear Member:

BIALAV is your source for information regarding modified schedules, department hours, new operating procedures, and new regulations that have or will arise in our new business reality.

BIALAV has remained on the frontlines of the battle to keep essential services open and fully functional during the pandemic. Last week, Santa Paula shut down on Friday, only to reopen on Monday with modified protocols.  Glendale and Manhattan Beach initially called for all construction to stop, despite the Governor’s recent Executive Order . Following our staunch advocacy, both Manhattan Beach and Glendale’s Council voted to lift the construction ban. And this week, our members also raised their voices, sending 40 letters to the City of LA and hundreds to other cities in our jurisdiction, urging them to keep government services and housing construction moving. We continue to work with Moorpark to reopen their Planning Department and process new permits at Building & Safety.

Our industry employees’ safety and wellbeing are our #1 priority. CBIA distributed the following “ Infectious Disease Jobsite Safety Protocols to our entire statewide membership, in order to help you and the entire industry in keeping your field and office staff safe, and to give your employees peace of mind.
