ADVOCACY IN ACTION
BIA-LAV Hosts Senate Majority Leader Hertzberg
On Wednesday, BIA-LAV held a Government Affairs Roundtable with Senate Majority Leader Bob Hertzberg. Members, across all BIASC Chapters, had the opportunity to learn about critical housing legislation and the legislature's priorities in the last weeks of the 2020 legislative session.

The Senator was generous with his time, providing us the opportunity to have a content-rich Q & A session focused on production and the cost of housing. We will continue to work with the Senator's office as these policies take shape at the State level.
LA COUNTY RELEASES "OURCOUTNY" ANNUAL REPORT
This week, the Los Angeles County Chief Sustainability Office released the first Annual "OurCounty" Sustainability Plan Report. BIA-LAV has been engaged in the County's climate and sustainability planning processes, communicating the concerns of our membership.

We will be reviewing this progress report and sharing our feedback with the County Departments and County Offices working on the actions and initiatives listed in the report. For questions and more information please contact Diana Coronado.
