BIASC Government Affairs Update

Last Friday, we held our Government Affairs Meeting with our BIA Advocacy Team. Special guests included; from the California Building Industry Association - President & CEO  Dan Dunmoyer , and  Jennifer Hernandez  of  Holland & Knight  LLP . With over 100 people in attendance, thank you for tuning in!
CBIA Summer Meetings

On Monday, the California Building Industry Association (CBIA) discussed their State efforts, including: housing bill statuses, State regulatory issues, such as Vehicle Miles Traveled, and political actions going into the November 2020 election affecting housing.
UPDATE: ADVOCACY IN ACTION
HALTED - Long Beach Inclusionary Housing
On June 9th, the Long Beach City Council withdrew the City's Inclusionary Housing Ordinance from being heard. The item has not yet been reschedule and BIA-LAV will continue to advocate for a delay past 2020.
