Los Angeles, November 4, 2021 – LA Animal Services is pleased to announce that our third Pet Food Pantry location will be opening on Sunday, November 7, at the North Central Animal Services Center located at 3201 Lacy Street. The North Central shelter joins our two other Pet Food Pantry locations in Chesterfield Square in South Los Angeles and East Valley in Van Nuys in providing free pet food to low income families and individuals who need help in feeding their pets. The Pet Food Pantry is open by appointment every Sunday from 1pm to 4pm.
“At LA Animal Services, we feel the best place for pets is with the families who love them even in challenging times,” said Dana Brown, LA Animal Services General Manager. “Sustaining the Pet Food Pantry is made possible thanks to the donations, both from individuals and families in our community to animal-caring organizations, who ensure we are able to provide this resource to keep families and their pets together.”
Residents interested in participating in the Pet Food Pantry must be the pet’s owner, and will need to register by going online to obtain an appointment at one of three locations: Chesterfield Square/South Los Angeles, East Valley, or North Central.
