Hotel Figueroa project has won a prestigious 2021 Los Angeles Conservancy Preservation Award.
Hotel Figueroa, located in downtown Los Angeles, opened in 1926 as a YWCA hotel for female travelers. This allowed women to check into the hotel without a male chaperone, as well as the opportunity to stay around other professional women from all over the world. The hotel ultimately opened to all sexes, and in 2015 a 3-year restoration began to turn the Hotel Figueroa into the Italian Renaissance Revival style you see today.
