As your school community makes the exciting transition from the Louisiana Scholarship Program to the LA GATOR Scholarship Program, we are here to support you in making this change smooth and successful for both you and your families.

While current LSP families will receive priority access into the LA GATOR Program, they will be required to complete a new application when it becomes available on March 1, 2025. The LDOE has shared this and other program information directly with your families, but we strongly encourage you to do the same to reinforce this message.

In this email, you will find helpful tools and resources to assist you in communicating with your LSP families as they prepare for this transition. Please know that we are here to assist you every step of the way to make this change as seamless as possible.

LA GATOR Online Resources:

• The LA GATOR Scholarship Program page serves as the central hub for information about Louisiana’s new school choice initiative. The site will be regularly updated with important program details and resources. The application will be available on this page starting March 1.

• In addition, there is a dedicated LSP Families and Schools webpage, which offers resources tailored to the LSP community, including Frequently Asked Questions and an informational webinar for LSP families.

• We also encourage you to visit the LA GATOR School Communications Resource page where you'll find tools to help you engage with your community, including social media posts and captions, parent flyers, and tips for hosting your own "LA GATOR Day" event at your school.
