Our hearts and prayers go out to all those impacted by the devastating fires in Southern California. The scale of the destruction is beyond comprehension. We are reminded of how wildfires have deeply affected our own community, and once again, we are facing the impact here at home. Several of our staff members’ families have lost their homes, and tragically, our Annual Meeting speaker’s home was completely destroyed, leaving them unable to present this Sunday (see below). The loss of so much significant architecture, along with the lives affected, is truly heartbreaking. Please donate where you can, be safe, be kind, and remember we are all in this together. Nicolaides, Ph.D. will not be able to present. Instead, we will kick-off the 2025 Theme " Preserving The Recent Past" with a screening of Claremont Modern: The Convergence of Art + Architecture at Mid-century.

Claremont Modern expands the scholarship of the intersection of Art + Architecture at Mid-century, and examines the regional influences that helped to establish a unique chapter in the annals of Modernism. Claremont Modern is produced by Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Paul Bockhorst, in cooperation with Claremont Heritage. 1 hour 30 minutes run-time
