On an Elm Tree Shaded Hillside...
Dear Alumni & Friends,
November’s theme is “Run, run, run, rest…”
It seems funny to talk about the increasingly gray days of November fondly, but as fellow granite-stater, Robert Frost once wrote:
Not yesterday I learned to know
The love of bare November days
Before the coming of the snow,
But it were vain to tell her so,
And they are better for her praise.
There’s much November praise to be shared throughout the Academy, especially for the folks in Buildings and Grounds, who made tremendous progress on the Lawrence House renovations, even as they staffed each of the many events named above.

of the campus improvements here.
Furthermore, it’s with great pride that the community celebrates all the hard work of the students and faculty throughout the fall, both inside and outside the classroom, playing fields, and performance spaces.
Everyone has earned a few days’ vacation and a nice big meal...
May the winter be as productive (and busy)!
From the Hillside,
