Los Angeles-based singer-songwriter Haylie Davis has announced her coming-of-age debut album, Wandering Star, arriving via Fire Records on Friday, June 5. Pre-orders/pre-saves are available now. Intimate, cinematic, and quietly fearless, the album is heralded by today’s premiere of the luminous, piano-led title track, “Wandering Star,” available everywhere now.

Brimming with infectious hooks, soaring choruses, and enduring storylines that tug at the heartstrings, Wandering Star sees Haylie Davis looking at her life thus – the wins, the losses, the people she has met, and the places she has been. The album includes such critically acclaimed singles as “Young Man,” joined by an official music video directed by Magnolia Ellenburg, streaming now on YouTube. An introspective lament for misplaced affection propelled by echoey, yearning steel guitar and Davis’s flawless vocal delivery, the track earned immediate praise from such outlets as ColoRising, which wrote, “‘Young Man’ finds Haylie Davis in a space of tenderness and understanding yet self-protecting. Using lush melodies as ear candy, there is a spaciousness to the production that allows for the vocalist to fly.”
