ULCT's Legislative Policy Committee (LPC)

One of the best ways a municipality can ensure their perspective is heard is through participation in ULCT's Legislative Policy Committee (LPC). LPC meets periodically outside of the Legislative Session, and every week during the session. Municipal representatives who attend LPC help shape ULCT’s positions on proposed legislation by voting on bills and sharing how legislation could impact their communities. You can sign up to attend all of the currently calendared LPC meetings here, and you can watch previous LPC meetings here.

The Utah Office of Data Privacy continues to expand its virtual training offerings with a brand-new monthly open forum: Privacy Exchange.

While our traditional workshops feature a set presentation followed by a Q&A, this new series takes a different approach. There is no slide deck and no rigid agenda; Bring what’s on your mind and jump into the conversation whenever you’re ready. Privacy Exchange is a completely open Q&A forum driven entirely by your immediate ideas, challenges, and objectives. While industry experts will still be present to answer questions and provide insight, this is your dedicated space to collaborate with peers, ask candid questions, review current guidance, and recommend specific changes that will help map out future tools and training.

Your voice matters. We build these resources to support your day-to-day operations, so we want to build them with you. Visit privacy.utah.gov for more information and to join the next exchange!

Head's up! The old .org domain that WFRC utilized prior to the .gov transition will be shut down starting July 1. Please check that you have my updated email address on file - madison.aviles@wfrc.utah.gov.

Sincerely,
