LACUE 2017 Updates

In this newsletter, we have a number of updates to share with you concerning out 2017 LACUE conference. Read on for more details, and of course, be sure to submit a presentation proposal and register to attend.


Schedule Change
Those of you who have attended LACUE in the past will notice that we've made some adjustments to our schedule for this year. Most notably, we have moved our keynote, business meeting, and award presentation to Wednesday afternoon.

At present, we have three pre-conference workshops that we invite you to sign up for and attend. These sessions include:

Keynote Speaker
This year, we are excited to be joined by Josh Stumpenhorst, who will be serving as our keynote speaker. Josh is an active blogger and author who  analyzes current practices in schools and suggests alternate and more effective strategies for all teachers.

Joining us from Montana, we will have Dean Phillips and Jeff Crews,  co-founders of  Beyond The Chalk.  Dean and Jeff bring with them a variety of experiences that they are eager to share with all of us.

Region 5 Mini-LACUE Conference
Teaching aNd Technology19 Institute
Region 5 will be holding their institute at Sulphur High School from 8:00am-3:00pm on Saturday, October 28, 2017 This conference is geared to classroom teachers, school administrators, Title I program coordinators, library media specialists, and others with an interest in educational technology.

Highlights of the conference will be

Region 2 Mini-LACUE Conference
