Making L.A.’s Clean Energy Future a Reality

Photovoltaic Panels at the Eland Solar-plus-Energy Storage Center.

LADWP recently celebrated the opening of the Eland Solar-plus-Storage Center Project, one of the largest solar and battery energy storage projects in the entire country. The power that will be generated by both phases of the Eland project – Eland 1 and Eland 2 – will meet 7% of Los Angeles’s total energy consumption while helping to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. This project will provide enough clean energy to power more than 266,000 homes each year and will propel Los Angeles forward in the City’s transition to 100% clean energy by 2035.
