Winter Solstice Draws Near

Photo collage of tribal members outdoors holding a sacred ceremony.

As we bring the year to a close, we look back and celebrate our achievements to better serve our community and the lessons learned for continued growth and improvement. From Project Powerhouse to Powered by Equity, we continue to make strides to better serve our customers and our communities. We also look with excitement at the year ahead and welcome your feedback on the areas we can improve on in communicating with you.

Before the year is out, we invite you to gather with us in honor of Winter Solstice on December 21 at 7 a.m. at the Chatsworth Nature Preserve. To mark this auspicious occasion, we will gather with the Fernandeño Tataviam Band of Mission Indians (FTBMI) at the City of Los Angeles’ only nature preserve for a family friendly event that will feature ceremonial songs and blessings from FTBMI Elders and a self-guided tour to follow.
