You Have a Voice in L.A.'s Clean Energy Future
LADWP is on a fast track to a 100% clean energy future. Your input can help shape our
energy future to ensure it benefits everyone equitably. We already know that achieving 100% renewable energy is achievable, but we want to make certain that our transition is accomplished equitably. That means a clean energy future that's accessible to all our customers, no matter where they may live or do business.

Join us for virtual community meetings to help ensure a just and equitable transition to 100% carbon-free energy in L.A. Through these upcoming community meetings, you will have the opportunity to learn more about LA100 Equity Strategies, participate in group discussions, and provide direct input that will inform how the research is conducted.

Water Distribution Team
Helps Save a Life
We are proud to acknowledge a group of employees who recently performed an act of heroism that helped save a life. These six members of Water Distribution’s Western District, pictured right, pulled an unconscious man from his locked vehicle on February 1, 2022 in Hancock Park and performed CPR on him while awaiting paramedics. From left to right: Water Utility Worker Robert Valdez; Water Utility Worker David Carlson; Maintenance and Construction Helper Stephen Patino; Equipment Operator Louie Puentes; Senior Water Utility Worker Salvador Perez; and Heavy Duty Truck Operator Dennis Jones.

The Navajo Nation Gets
Powered Up
Our electric line crews helped connect about 80 families of the Navajo Nation to the electric grid while participating in a mutual aid training exercise with the Navajo Tribal Utility Authority (NTUA) in parts of New Mexico. More than 40 LADWP electrical distribution mechanics, supervisors, and helpers were deployed to travel to Navajo Nation land late last year to participate in the training program. The biggest job was an extensive community powerline project in Chilchinbeto, Arizona that was 10 miles long, required installing 150 power poles, and powered up 20 homes.
