Image of a blue background with a logo that reads LADWP

This month, we highlight Black excellence and leadership at LADWP. Meet Anselmo Collins, Senior Assistant General Manager for the Water System, who oversees the operation that brings reliable and safe drinking water to the residents of Los Angeles!

Now more than ever, it's essential that we not only celebrate the history, culture, & experiences of Black Americans but that we fundamentally strive to do our part to advance diversity, equity, & inclusion throughout LADWP. Progress has no end, but it does have a beginning.

Follow along this month as we highlight more Black Leaders at the Department.

Beware of Scams!

With utility scams on the rise across the country and scammers getting more creative and aggressive with their methods of attack, we are urging our customers to stay vigilant so they can avoid being victimized. The more our customers understand how scammers operate, the better they can protect themselves.

Mono Lake Rising

The City of Los Angeles, through LADWP, utilizes its Mono Basin water rights to serve safe, quality drinking water to up to 200,000 Angelenos each year. While there has been a heavy strain on water sources due to the statewide drought, we announced that recent measurements taken at Mono Lake indicate that the lake level elevation is two feet higher than its 2017 levelsWe have also forecasted that recent snowfall in and around the Mono Basin will cause the lake level to rise approximately two more feet before the end of the year, ensuring the continued health of the Mono Basin ecosystem and the residents we serve.
