Keep It Up, L.A.!

Since the new water restrictions went into effect on June 1, limiting outdoor watering two days per week, Angelenos have shown up and doubled their water conservation efforts. When comparing June of last year to June of this year, our water demands have gone down by 9%.

As a reminder, customers with street addresses ending in odd numbers may water on Mondays and Fridays and customers with even-numbered street addresses may water on Thursdays and Sundays, before 9 a.m. or after 4 p.m.

We also continue to offer water- and money-saving rebates and programs to both residential and commercial customers, so take advantage now!

Keep it up, L.A.!

Expanded Tujunga Spreading Grounds Now Offers Community Recreation Area

City officials recently marked the completion of the Tujunga Spreading Grounds Stormwater Capture expansion project and opened a new community recreation area onsite to the public. The 150-acre project doubled the annual groundwater recharge capacity of the San Fernando Groundwater Basin, which has the potential to provide enough water to 64,000 households on an annual basis. The renovated and expanded Tujunga Spreading Grounds also features a community space that includes a walking path, sitting areas, an outdoor classroom and a hydration station.
