March 2021
Did you know that LADWP is led by the first all-female Board of Water and Power Commissioners in its history? In honor of Women's History Month, we're recognizing and celebrating the achievements and each of the unique contributions the women of LADWP have made to the Department and to their community.

This month, we're taking a look back at our Department's history and tradition of service, and highlighting a few of the programs that have us charging ahead toward a brighter, bolder and greener future for L.A.
Operation NEXT Program
Begins Environmental Review
A Program Environmental Impact Report is being prepared for the proposed Operation NEXT Water Supply Program developed by LADWP in partnership with LASAN’s Hyperion 2035. Operation NEXT will allow for 100% recycling of available treated wastewater for beneficial reuse that will help L.A. to achieve long-term sustainability goals.

Public comment period ends April 14, 2021.

EVs Are the Way to Go!
Electric vehicle (EV) shuttle buses in Leimert Park are helping us expand outreach on the benefits of EVs and transportation electrification. In partnership with the Los Angeles Clean Tech Incubator (LACI), Circuit, and other community partners, LADWP designed exterior wraps for EV shuttle buses currently offering free rides for residents of Leimert Park.
