Smooth Out Bills with Level Pay!

Image of a colorful background with text that reads smooth out your summer bills with level pay monthly billing

LADWP's recently announced 'Cool LA' initiative offers many solutions to help customers stay safe and comfortable such as providing eligible customers with an option to enroll in "Level Pay" to smooth out high bills through payment plans spread out across the year.

The new utility bill payment option allows customers to spread their LADWP bills into equal, levelized monthly payments over a 12-month period. With a predictable bill that stays the same from month to month, customers can more easily budget for their water, power and LA Sanitation bill, no matter the time of year.

The amount that customers are billed monthly under Level Pay is calculated based on their past usage.

Enrollment in the plan is available to all residential customers. Customers can enroll in Level Pay by calling 1-800-DIAL-DWP (1-800-342-5397).

On October 11, LADWP staff presented the recommended case for the 2022 Power Strategic Long-Term Resource Plan (SLTRP) to the Los Angeles Board of Water and Power Commissioners. The 2022 SLTRP provides a roadmap for achieving a 100% carbon-free power supply by 2035. While costs and rate impacts are preliminary, the SLTRP provides insight on to what types of investments are needed to reach the city’s clean energy goals. The plan, which is updated annually with public outreach every two years, will be posted online soon.
