LADWP in the Community
Celebrating Women at LADWP
As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we wanted to take a moment to tell you about some of the trailblazing women leaders and employees of LADWP, and share a little bit about their contributions to making LADWP a reliable and customer-focused provider of water and power to the people of Los Angeles. These are just a few of the thousands of women who make a difference for our customers each day.
Bringing New Perspective to the LADWP Board of Commissioners
LADWP reached a new milestone last year when Board Vice-President Cynthia McClain-Hill was appointed commissioner. Four out of five members of our Board are now women. This group of distinguished and dynamic individuals is comprised of an attorney and public policy strategist, a civic leader advocating for community action, a leader in strategic real estate solutions, and a dedicated community organizer and environmental activist. They work every day to move L.A. forward by bringing the same commitment and values that made them successful to the job of overseeing the nation’s largest municipal utility.
