President's Message:

March brings us our first art show of the year! Be sure you get the word out to all your friends and family to come see this amazing show. I am so proud to be part of this organization that has so many wonderfully talented artists.

For those of you who missed it, we had a beautiful model come to our last member's meeting, providing us the opportunity to draw her. It was fun, challenging and very gratifying to participate with so many other members there who were brave enough to give it a try. A few members expressed their desire to do it again soon. Maybe we can start a monthly figure drawing group? Please RSVP if you think you would be interested.

See you at the Great Frame Up for our big show! Everyone welcome!

Fearless Tech for Creatives
Talk about Tech with Jill Rumley

Jill Rumley is a geek and an artist. She fully understands the challenges artists face when faced with trying to use technology to sell art.

On March 13th, Jill will be discussing the fears and frustrations you, as an artist, has with "getting online."

She will go over some basic options for websites, social media, email and will share tools to help you decide what is the best approach for you to gain exposure and sell your art online.

Free and open to the public.
"Inspirations" Art Show

Don't forget to bring a recent piece of art work for our Inspirations Art Show. We will be voting for the best art work on display that evening. The winning artist will go home with a gift certificate.

As always a snack to share is greatly appreciated.

You provide the studio space (usually in your home) along with your "expertise" on a particular technique or project. LAG will get the word out for you so you can get lots of students. No commission or fees to LAG as long as you are a current member. You can charge $10 - $25 per person, depending on the length of the workshop and what you provide.
