LAGUNA SENIOR MERITH VELAZQUEZ-JIMENEZ GAINS INSIDER ACCESS TO THEATER PRODUCTION
Merith Velazquez-Jimenez '18, who serves as the Laguna theater department's Assistant Stage Manager, got a glimpse behind the curtain of professional theater production at the third annual Jurkowitz Fellowship Program.

Merith was chosen as one of sixteen local high school students, who were nominated by their theater arts teachers, to participate in this exciting learning experience on March 20 and 21.

As part of this program, the students observed a professional "load-in" of A Chorus Line and met with professionals from the Theatre League production team as well as Granada Theater staff members.

This two-day fellowship is designed to give high school technical theater students insight into the many career path opportunities that exist in the professional theater world.

Congratulations, Merith!
